
Gerald Barney, Chairman of Triaz International. Mr. Barney is the corporation’s designated broker-officer. He began his career as a financial professional in 1971 as a NYSE, ASE, and NASD licensed securities broker/dealer dealing in mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate syndications. For the past 25 years he has been active in providing financial services to small business, including business development, business valuation, consulting, business brokerage and financing. He is currently a principal shareholder of American ValueMetrics Corp, Inc., a firm operating nation-wide in the areas of business and machinery/equipment appraisals.
Mr. Barney is the principal architect of the Triaz International system. It reflects the experience of a long career in the business transfer industry, and his expert knowledge of what is required to successfully complete a sale.
Mr. Barney holds an M.S. degree in quantitative analysis and systems theory from San Jose State University and a variety of professional designations.
Brett Barney has a unique background of more than 25 years of global business experience in both large corporations and small enterprises. His responsibilities have included extensive work with global 500 businesses in Asia, Europe, and Australia. He has a long track record of successful business start ups and acquisitions. He currently owns and operates several small businesses and focuses on bringing the discipline and business processes learned in large organizations to small companies. In the large enterprise arena he has held sales, marketing, operations, business development, and consulting positions for companies such as Dell Computer, Silicon Graphics, and National Semiconductor.
Mr. Barney holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
Melisa Silverman worked for 15+ years for small to medium size businesses with experience in marketing, business development, strategic partnerships and contract development and negotiations. Her responsibilities included negotiating partnerships with third party businesses, integration of technologies, sales and marketing of the integrated solutions as well as facilitation of acquired companies into the parent company. She has also owned a consulting business working with business owners to develop and execute strategic sales programs, negotiate strategic partnerships and achieve corporate marketing objectives. Companies she worked for included Sonare Technologies | a Herman Miller Subsidiary, 3E Company and Peregrine Systems. Ms. Silverman’s BA and JD degrees have been instrumental in the valuation work she has performed for hundreds of business entities, estates, IP and equipment projects.
Ms. Silverman is a member of: Beverly Hills Estate Planning Council, San Gabriel Estate Planning Council, Provisors Professional Network, JCF Women’s Network Group, California Capital Summit Group, Society of Business Analysts, National Equipment and Business Brokers Association and she was previously a board member of the San Diego American Marketing Association and the San Diego Software Industry Council.
Mr. Lisi has had a career involved in the service and manufacturing industries with both Fortune 100 and privately held companies. Since 2001 he has been a consultant specializing in strategic planning and the valuation of businesses in these areas; and also in the valuation of the machinery and equipment associated with them. He purchased a significant small business in 1997 and is an expert in managing cash flow, securing small business financing and identifying the best uses of cash for capital expenditure, marketing, advertising, telecommunications, real estate, insurance, payroll, etc…
In 1991 People-to-People International, Washington DC, selected him as a U.S. delegate to Russia, Latvia and Estonia to exchange business management information with newly liberated businesses following the 1989 fall of the Berlin wall. He has held board positions for University of California – Santa Barbara Affiliates, Rotary Club–Santa Barbara North, Community Presbyterian Church, University of Michigan Alumni Association of Orange County, Women’s Culinary Arts Guild, National Association of Catering Executives and Diversified Air Systems.
Mr. Wu has more than 18 years of entrepreneurial and international business experience. Hao splits his time between the U.S. and Mainland China/Hong Kong supporting advisory clients and transactions. In the early 1990’s, Hao Wu co-founded Hi-Tech Soft, now Patchlink Corporation. He was instrumental in developing the overall business plan and strategy that lead to the first round funding for Patchlink in 1999, and a second round of funding of $35 million, lead by Bank of America Venture Partners in 2004. In addition, Mr. Wu has worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group where he focused on business strategies and operational management for different companies operating in Asia. Some of the major clients Hao Wu has consulted for include Palm, Sun, VeriSign, Seagram, Herman Miller, SC Johnson, and Vsource. Mr. Wu has extensive experience in business evaluation, process re-engineering, and capital financing.
Mr. Wu graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Computer Engineering from University of California, San Diego and holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley.
